A Wireless Bug Detector Opens Your Eyes

Filed in: Home Based Business by Steve Thibeault on 07-05-09

Do you ever get the feeling that you’re being watched? Whenever we go out, it appears that some kind of surveillance device is watching our every move. Unfortunately, we have to deal with very high crime rates and this, coupled with the fact that we live in the technology age, ensures that we have to endure. Whilst we’re used to being watched in the public environment, this should not be the case in a private place. If you’re suspicious, you should protect your business or personal interest and find a wireless bug detector.

The wireless bug detector is basically an anti-surveillance device. Available in a variety of forms and different shapes, they can be used to find a variety of innovative spying devices in a room. Use the device to search for illicit bugs. Easily held in your hand, simply “sweep” the area around you.

In almost every society, spying is an illegal activity. However, this does not stop some people who may be tempted to invade your privacy by spying on you when you are in a hotel room, or other private quarters within an otherwise public establishment. A wireless bug detector can protect you from spying devices during almost every eventuality.

Sometimes spies will place audio bugs next to phones or even within the set itself and wireless bug detectors can be used to track these down, readily. There are a number of different types of detector and some of the larger ones will track the most sophisticated spy cameras. In this case, the product will allow you to actually see what the spy camera sees.

A wireless bug detector works by tracking a radio frequency, or RF, and “sees” radio signals being sent from one place to the other. In the case of an implanted bug this would send signals via radio frequency to an associated receiver. As the detector will scan the whole room and look for radio signals, it makes sense to switch off any computer network or your cell phone.

Advanced microprocessor circuitry and cutting edge technology is used by the most up-to-date wireless bug detectors. Sensitivity controls give you flexibility and allow you to really narrow in on the bugs, especially as they can be smaller than a penny in size in some cases. Detectors are battery operated and cover the most common ranges used by the devices, between 1 MHz and 3 GHz.

In the world of bugs, some more sophisticated spies may introduce bugs which operate under very high frequency level, for example 4 GHz or 6 GHz, but these are very few and far between and are very expensive. The chances are that the majority of people tempted to engage in spying on you will use a more conventional frequency range.

You want some peace of mind when you enter private areas which may have been used by others before you or are under the control of somebody else. Wireless bug detectors give you that assurance and really protect your privacy. The products may be used in the business world as well as within personal situations, as anti-espionage initiatives are applicable.
